First EPA Completed Under Revised Apprenticeship Standards

IETTL carried out the first End Point Assessment on the new revised standards which apprentices were registered to from October 2023.

The End Point Assessment ran 14^th-16^th May and had 16 apprentices in attendance, a mixture of H&V and Industrial apprentices, with 3 assessors.

In the new standard EPA, apprentices completed the following tasks:

• Multiple Choice Assessment
• Interview with Portfolio
• Practical Assessment with Questions

The changes from the old standard are:

• Removal of the written knowledge questions from the knowledge component
• Introduction of mandatory portfolio for interview
• Introduction of questions included within the practical assessment

IETTL have further EPAs planned each month for the rest of the year, IETTL contact the employer and apprentice to book their EPA following the successful completion of their gateway assessment at TICA.
